Choosing setting/s for the Flashback Scenes in the Video

This is what I said in the voice note:

 

We shot what we are calling the flashback scenes at the Harlow Town Centre, we chose this location because it meant that we could get a variety of different shots in different locations, for example the Water Gardens and Costa Coffee. We are going to jumble these together in the edit for the main artist/character to experience in the video.

Also, every crew member could easily access this location which is another reason why we chose it, on top of this, the people in the background made the date that we were trying to portray a lot more natural and realistic.

 

 

Basic Planning

A lot of the planning of the video had been carried out on rough paper and the more we discussed the video the more we understood, soon we were all clear on what we wanted to do.

However we found that we would all prefer to have a basic plan laid out on a piece of paper for us all to direct each other to, we planned and set aside a lesson to make a mind map listing most things that would need to be dealt with.

After doing this we felt a lot better, our ideas were listed and with another conversation under our belts we were feeling more confident, we were able to make lists of things we each needed to do individually and carry them out on our own. We also were able to distinguish the chosen ideas from the notes we'd made 'just in case'.

Practice Music Video

As preparation and to give us the time to get used to filming and editing a music video, we were set a task to create a music video. We were to stay within the gates of the school and were able to create whatever we wished providing we kept within certain boundaries.

This was very helpful and I am pleased with the result;

This allowed us to experiment with what we knew we could do as well as learn some new skills.
